Slow Funeral is the alias of upstate, SC artist Mary Norris. Her alt-rock project is a marriage of her 90s influences, such as Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, and The Cranberries. Her debut album, Conditions of Trust, was released May 9th, 2025, with singles “Run” and “What You Want” being well-received and garnering new fans through virality. Her live performances with her band have been making waves across the southeast, already having shared the stage with acts like Slothrust, Pinkshift, owen (Mike Kinsella of American Football), Chase Petra, Babe Haven, and more recently, performed pre-shows for both Weezer and Linkin Park.
